Based in San Francisco, Jenn Farrington works as a commercial, editorial, and documentary photographer.  Her most recent clients have hired her to shoot travel, lifestyle, portrait, beverage/food, and interior design photography.

Jenn has worked in commercial photography and production in New York City and San Francisco since 1997.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Art from Cornell University.  She continued her education in Prague, where she studied documentary photography under the guidance of award-winning photographers.  In Santa Fe, she had the opportunity to learn travel photography from National Geographic photographers.

In 2003, Jenn traveled throughout rural Thailand to document poverty alleviation, and AIDS prevention and education in association with the Thai NGO: Population and Community Development Association (PDA).

Jenn has been a photographer for the Bay Area Hearts Gallery since 2006.  This local branch of the national organization selects professional photographers to make portraits of foster children who need to be adopted.  The resulting photographs create an exhibit which travels throughout the Bay Area.  Jenn can gratefully say that the two sisters she photographed in 2006 have since been adopted, together.

Since moving to California in 2000, Jenn has explored her love for education
by teaching art to children at The DeYoung Museum, The Legion of Honor, The SF Children’s Art Center, and several urban outreach programs.  She was then hired to establish the summer photography program at The Presidio YMCA.  In 2008, she will teach an advance lighting workshop at RayKo Photo Center.

Jenn has found a warm reception for her photographs among private collectors throughout the country.  Abroad, her work has been shown in Italy and The Czech Republic.  In San Francisco RayKo Photo Center continues to support her work.

Currently, you can find Jenn running around the globe, hunting for the next photograph.
